Aluminium Sulphate is a product better known as Alum. Alum is a flocculant

white powder that, when circulated in your pool water, quickly binds together all the

fine particles in cloudy water, including green algae, into particles sufficiently

large enough for the green algae to sink to the bottom of your pool, clearing up your

pool water. Then simply vacuum the bottom of your pool and waste all the algae

greens it contains. We do not recommend using Alum in pools that have Cartridge Filters.

You may have noticed that we said we know of a "guaranteed" way to do it. to clean the

cloudy pool water and green algae virtually overnight. we say this

because every time we have used Alum to clarify our pool water it has

worked flawlessly and consistently. No other flocculant that we have tested has been
